Welcome to The Hills & Districts Chamber of Commerce

The Hills & District Chamber of Commerce is a friendly and supportive Chamber of Commerce covering the Ferny Hills, Arana Hills, Ferny Grove, Keperra, Mitchelton and surrounding districts of north Brisbane, Australia.

Established on the 28th July 1992, our Chamber is affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland, and runs on a not-for-profit basis.

Mission Statement

The Hills and Districts Chamber of Commerce exists to support its members to achieve profitable and sustainable businesses and effective not-for-profit organisations. 


We do this:

  • through networking, information exchange and education;
  • through developing positive relationships and communications with all levels of government;
  • by contributing to the wider social, health and well-being of our community.

The Event


  • Wednesday, 12 September 2018 – Registration Open 6:45 am to 9:30 am; Eatons Hill Hotel, South Pine Rd, Eatons Hill;

  • Enter through the 2018 Business Showcase on the mezzanine level;

  • Plated breakfast for 300 guests in the Grand Ballroom;

  • Professional, topical and educational speaker with an authentic story who has donated her time for our cause;

  • Multiple raffle draws with exciting prizes; and

  • Promotional Showbag full of goodies and special offers.

The Speaker


Penelope Twemlow is a multi-degree qualified professional with a Naval background and more than 16 years’ experience in strategic and operational management, project and risk management, governance and compliance.  She also comes equipped with a wicked sense of humour, a big heart and she knows how to reverse park a warship.

Meetings & Events


Breakfast meetings 

We usually hold breakfast meeting the 4th Tuesday of the month from 7am - 8.30am, at the Arana Hills Leagues Club, Dawson Parade, Arana Hills.  It only costs $25 a meeting when you book early, which includes a full cooked breakfast.  Late bookings $35

Women & Business 

We hold lunch meetings the 2nd Tuesday each second month from 12pm - 1.30pm, at varying locations.  It is FREE to attend, registration is necessary, though.  Meals and drinks available for purchase on the day.

These events are scheduled to assist women in business.

Business Showcases

Held on a quarterly basis, the Business Showcases are hosted by Chamber members at their place of business or another location, and open to all members and guests.  These complimentary events are a learning and networking opportunity for everyone, where members speak about their business experience and journey, the challenges they have face , and how they approached them.  The showcase usually begins at 5:30pm through till 7:00pm and provides an opportunity for sharing, learning and networking.

Big Breakfast

Once a year, we host a larger "Big Breakfast"  event designed to help raise funds for our local community and charity partners. We proudly support the Hills PCYC as our main charity partner.
